they look more like the Tahitian pearl photos than the Akoya photos These earrings were far more black and less iridescent than photographed. In fact, they look more like the Tahitian pearl photos than the Akoya photos. They were solid in color with no green or purple hues. However, the size was nice (7.5-8 mm) and the pearls were well matched for color and size. I believe that they were dyed black rather than naturally occurring black pearls. I will be upgrading to the Tahitian as they will look more like the photographed Akoya pearls and I prefer their…

AA+ Pearls But Picture is Misleading I got a pair of these pearls for my wife to go with a black pearl necklace. They are nearly perfectly round and look nice. I would caution a prospective buyer though that they are bit bluer in color than the picture shows, they are almost more of a gun metal color.

Pearls are a Hit! I love them! One reviewer said that they looked black with no iridescence, mine have that blackish/greenish depth that was evident as soon as I put a decent light on them.
