Concerned about accuracy – Pluto’s distance from Sun is expressed in millions of miles, not billions. This dictionary is pretty comprehensive, and we love all the excellent pictures.

A great dictionary for little kids. Depending on your child’s speed of learning, this could be appropriate for either a first grader or even a third grader – it all depends. However, as nice as it is to have lots of pictures, you will inevitably run into words without entry in this dictionary. But that is OK, you can explain to your child early on that the world is not black and white simple – that there are many grays. Great addition to any grade school home library I love this dictionary. I bought it for my 2nd grader old to combine with his Sylvan Workbook homework routine. This has been a wonderful addition and adds variety to his daily homework schedule. I love that there are color and graphics on every page and clear definitions that aren’t too watered down so that even an early grade school student can understand.
