In celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, for the first time together Jacob T. Marley and A Christmas Carol. Just over 160 years ago, Dickens wrote his classic tale A Christmas Carol and the story of Ebenezer Scrooge quickly become a beloved Christmas classic. Now that tradition has grown. Written in a voice delightfully reminiscent of Dickens, R. William Bennett s Jacob T. Marley has refocused the spotlight on Scrooge s miserly business partner. Why was Ebenezer given the chance to redeem himself and Jacob was not? Or was he? This masterful story is sure to become a Christmas favorite.

These two absolutely go together After reading Jacob T. Marley you will never be able to watch any theatrical production of a Christmas Carol with the same eyes! Your experience with one of the greatest Christmas stories ever written next to Luke 2 will be enhance two fold. Like Wicked two stories are going on at the same time. Redemption is a theme that gives us all hope even the most wretched among us. Like Eberneezer Scrooge Jacob T. Marley doesn’t disappoint. My guess is you will come away with your heart being a little…

Marvelous book set I read Jacob T Marley on my Kindle and liked the book so much that I had to have it in real-book form. (I also gave three copies of it for Christmas presents this year!). I was delighted to find this set as a gift to myself. I’ve never owned A Christmas Carol and always stole my sister’s copy to read. I’m looking forward to settling in with a glass of wine, putting my feet up and diving into both beautifully written stories. Applause to Bill Bennett for writing Marley with a perfect Dickens air…

Perfect Pairing of Books I just received my 200th anniversary boxed set. I have read A Christmas Carol every year since high school, and just finished reading Jacob T. Marley (although I bought it last year after Christmas). When I saw the boxed set I decided I had to have it. My new tradition will be to read them both. They both bring me a sense of renewed strength and hope for the coming year. Even though I bought the set for myself they’d made a beautiful gift for someone.
